Sometimes it takes old people a long time to grow up. Those among us who
are prone to "sassing" little girls should also take heed of Mr. Twain's
very considerate guidance.
On the other hand, if you do it in a really nice way, maybe….
And if the sassing is a prelude to ice cream, or pursuant to a pony ride,
then OK.
Mark Twain also said:
