“This problem, once solved, will be simple.”
Edison
was an indefatigable experimenter. He didn't mind trying hundreds or thousands of
times to solve a problem.
He
tried for a long time to find a filament that would work in his concept for a commercially
reliable electric light bulb. He once told a reporter "I now know definitively over
9,000 ways that an electric light bulb will not work." After more than 10,000
tries, he was successful with a carbon filament.
Too
bad there's no statue of Edison with this inscription:
"He
didn't mind failing 10,000 times."
Good
attitude. Keep it in mind.
