Oh yeah, FYI, the average McDonald’s employee works for SEVEN MONTHS  to earn the same as Donald Thompson, the CEO, makes in AN HOUR….

    You ought to go out and rent the movie PUTNEY SWOPE (1969) and while you rent it, think of the clerk renting it all of sudden running Netflixs and that you replace the clerk with the CEO. Maybe there is a reason the world pays entree level wages to the beginner and substantially more to the wise seasoned professional. Or maybe it should just be total chaos? Life without merit....wonderful!

      My point is that it's the grotesque imbalance between worker-bee wages and CEO wages that is the problem. I love the idea of paying for merit and experience, but I don't think any CEO is worth tens of millions a year. And further, I don't believe there are enough "wise seasoned professionals" to fill all the CEO and executive and management slots in organizations all over the planet. And by the way, think of all the organizations you know of that have been managed in a wise seasoned way in recent years....and then think about all the other ones....
